What was the first MMA show you ever saw. The one that got you into the sport. I saw Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar first but it wasnt until i saw Brandon Vera take out Asuerio Silva in fasion at UFC 60 that i was an MMA fan.

Way back when Frank Shamrock fought Tito Ortiz.
Yeah, that long. That took me into training wrestling, then MMA... then back to wrestling/BJJ. lol

UFC 3 when Dan Severn first fought. It was a great event. Dan Severn is the man. He's hands down one of my favorite fighters because of his earlier UFC days. Seeing him after he won, when he flexed, was crazy. He used to be humongous.

I saw UFC 1. I was in Tae Kwon Do and my instructor ordered it and sat us all down in front of the TV. I forgot the TKD but forever remember UFC 1. Fan from then on...
Even getting into it too... should be in the Armed Forces pankration Tourny in May.

I saw a couple fights back when UFC was just starting (don't remember which fights specifically other than Gordeau vs. Tulie from UFC 1 and a Keith Hackney fight), and I didn't think much of it at the time. Thought it was a bit outrageous and, for lack of a better word, barbaric. Then I just sort of didn't pay attention to it for a long time after that. It wasn't until TUF rolled around and I learned more about the rules (many of which had been imposed since the last time I saw a fight) and the fighters themselves that I really got hooked. Once I learned that it was a legitimate sport and not just a freak show, it became one of my favorite things out there.

In Ireland before Setanta Sports all you got were highlight shows on Bravo in the evening time, they were about an hour long. I watched Tank Abbott V Don Fry can't remember the event, Fry got beat down at the start and ended winning by sub. I still remember laughing my ass of going that was crazy. Then my younger brother was talking bout this Randy V Chuck match and that Bravo were showing delayed coverage of UFC events and I was shocked at the progression of the product, I was shouting for Randy and when he won I was shocked. But I think my dislike at the time for Tito kept me enterained to stay watching the sport. Haven't looked back since.

he's a fricken Ballet dancer. Still it was a bad ass movie. I'd say Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon really got me thinking about true MMA. In the film he talked about never limiting yourself. To be open to what your opponant was doing.

I think it was a Kimura from the bottom. Key lock (or Americana is from the top.) Maybe I'm remembering it wrong though
