Ok so as many of you know I'll be having shoulder surgery again on the 23rd. That means I'll be taking a week off from simming to learn to use my arm again. I'm seriously thinking of coming back with a re start and possibly changing over to the UMMA sim. I think it's time for a new start and to be honest I like the UMMA sim better.
I haven't made up my mind and I really want some feedback on this. Either for or against, let me know and let me know why. True this isn't a democracy, but I want to make the best game I can.
You new guys may be bummed about a re start but I think it'll be better to let everyone start on an even playing field.
No matter what a restart will happen. I just need to know if it'll be NHB sim or the UMMAS. I hope to hear some feedback in the next week or so.
With either you will be able to have a fighter in any 3 divisions. so plan on having multiple fighters. I'll still have RK1 and RGC matches. I may stick with UFC rules but if you guys want we can go back to Pride. Let me know.

Restart sounds good.
UMMA sim sounds even better. I like UMMA because it's something people haven't completely figured out yet. It's a lot like NHB, but there are still some things I'm trying to figure out. UMMA sim is the way to go.

UMMA sim is a good sim because it is very easy to use for the owner but the only problem I have with it is the way that lower ranked fighters never really stand a chance. I remember simming Tim Silva V Randy Couture and every time Randy won, out of nearly fifteen fights. He won four of the bouts by cuts.
But the pro's with it is its very easy to use and not a lot of people have figured it out like NHB. so that levels the playing field a bit Plus creating a good fighter in it would be a lot more challenging. As in relation to the restart I am for it.
By the way good luck with the surgery.

Good luck Shooter, hope your surgery goes smooth as silk.
As far as the restart goes, I'm up for it. UMMA sim is pretty tight. So let's do it.

I personally LOVE The UMMA sim a lot better since no one seems to have a strangle hold on it yet... plus, I suck as Sims so far, so that helps. lol
But yeah, I like it a lot.

Ok UMMA it is. Now Since I've never run a league with it before I could use some ideas as to how to set up a sign up form. I want it to be competitive so in no way will there be too many points to begin with. I could use some help here so if you guys can link me to a UMMAS league or have any ideas yourself..let me know.
This is what I've come up with.
1) by next week I'll have the sign up form ready and begin taking applications.
2) you can have up to 3 fighters if you want (1 in each weight class) weight classes will be LW, MW, and HW
3) I'll be continuing with the current RFC #'s 31,32 ect... but records will be different
4) Each month I'll have P4P rankings that will equal extra points for the top 3 (I'll work out the details later)
5) Fights will be in the UFC format. (3 five min rounds, 5 five min for championships)
I have next week off to recover from surgery but as long as i have enough applicants I'll book the following week.
Be sure to let me hear those ideas. I want this to be as fun as possible.

I know nothing of UMMA, never used it once. I only have a mac now and UMMA doesn't run on it (in fact I haven't even run the NHB sim myself in almost 2 years now), so I'd be absolutely no help on this one. Be prepared to see some suck-ass fighters on my end, and I'm not referring to Karl 'Sexually Aroused' Workman on me rear end trying to dry hump me.
Sorry, slipped into character there for a second...

This is the way I set mine up, I think I used the same rules as Glory FC, or whatever that other one was called, I ran it with Pride rules, 1x10 + 2x5 and most fights ended pretty quickly, so I think you should cap it lower and use a lot less points than I did ironmanarena.weebly.com/sign-up.html

Good luck with the shoulder surgery Shooter, hope the arm recovers well and there arent any problems.
I was close to retiring anyways so a restart and new sim basically clinches it for me. Its been great playing in your sims for the last damn near 4 years Shooter, you always made it fun and always cared for your leagues. Massive respect for you and all of the old timers going back to IFA/TFC.
